The Varnishing Process Stripping Protect all adjacent gelcoat / painted surfaces by applying regular 1” blue tape right up to the edges of the varnish. You should also double it up if its paint and not gelcoat. Paint is more sensitive to heat than gelcoat is. I would buy a case of 1” 3M blue tape
